Back from BU!

Linda, Carol, Cyndi and I, along with our male Stitchin' buddies Steve and Scott, just returned from a week of Bernina fun in San Francisco, California at Bernina University! We arrived Wednesday, registered early Thursday morning, and spent the next five days in Bernina heaven, learning about new products and programs that will be released this fall.

A highlight for us all was hearing about the Version 6 Designer Plus software that will be released in September. Linda spent much of her California time learning about this upgrade and all it has to offer the embroidery enthusiast. Another wonderful product to be released very soon is the Cutwork Tool and software. With this little gadget and your embroidery system, you can cut intricate designs into fabric (and paper!) with ease.

We enjoyed our week, learned alot, and are ready to begin the second half of 2009 with a new energy. Visit us soon, we will tell you all about it!

  1. Great news about the new software version 6.

Can you tell us some of the newest features please?

It the cutwork tool and software separate or part of the software V6?

  2. Barbara, the Cutwork tool is completely separate from the Version 6. Actually, the Cutwork tool has a little software CD of it's own to work through the embroidery unit.

I'll get Linda over here to do a little blogspot about the software. She took all the classes and was so excited about it!

  4. Thank you Teresa for the info on the cutting software. I think if Linda can give us some info on the new software features that would be really cool. I understand from the Bernina Blog site that the software contains Corel Draw Essentials 4?? Perhaps they did a demo. Has the digitizing feature in the V6 been made easier? So many questions. Do list me as one of your potential customers for the new V6. I am hoping that there will be an inducement for a new 830 along with V6.
My 200E, bought at Nimble Thimble, later updated to 730E is in excellent shape but I am drolling at the thought of the new machine.
